Nicola Mendelsohn

Vice-President of Meta

We are continuing with our Notable Women Series! This year we are introducing three different sections, where we introduce female leaders and entrepreneurs from the global world, local community, and Uoft campus.

Starting off from the global edition, we wanted to introduce to you Nicola Mendelsohn!

In 2013, Nicola Mendelsohn became the VP of the Global Business Group at Meta (previously known as Facebook). As she rose through the ranks in the advertising industry, she was inspired to lead with change and empathy. In 2016, she launched #SheMeansBusiness, a digital skills training program meant to support over 1.5 million women on financial skills useful for business owners. She’s also significantly pushed the rates of women in leadership positions at Meta and advocated for equal pay. Despite living with Cancer, Nicole has been an unstoppable force, helping transform Meta from a small social media company to a metaverse company worth billions.

If you’re interested in learning more about Nicola Mendelsohn’s journey, check out episode 169 on 'The Diary of A CEO with Steven Bartlett' podcast available on Spotify and Youtube. They discuss the importance of body language, first impressions, and her path to success.
