Angela Ahrendts

Vice-President of Retail at Apple

As a part of our global section, we wanted to introduce Angela Ahrendts!

Angela is an American businesswoman who was previously the senior Vice President of retail at Apple Inc, as well as the CEO of Burberry for 8 years.

Born in Indiana, Ahrendts attended Ball State University and earned an undergraduate degree in Merchandising and Marketing.She moved to New York City to work in the fashion industry and held positions at Warnaco, Donna Karan, Henri Bendel and more.She joined Burberry in 2006, and over her tenure as CEO, the company’s value rose from £2 billion to over £7 billion.

She then left Burberry to work as SVP of retail at Apple. While this came as a surprise to many in technology and fashion, Ahrendts had significant experience in improving what she called “the customer journey”.

She was able to use her luxury experience and apply it to the world of technology. She stayed as SVP of Apple until 2019, and she now is a board member of Save the Children, Ralph Lauren Corporation, and more.
